How to see backlinks and internal links in Google Search Console
The Links report shows which sites link to you, your most linked pages and how you link internally — straight from Google, for free.
Step by step
- 1Open the Links report in the left menu.
- 2"Top linked pages" (external) shows which of your pages get the most links from other sites.
- 3"Top linking sites" lists the domains linking to you; click one to see the pages it links to.
- 4"Top linked pages" (internal) shows how often you link to each page yourself.
- 5Click Export external links → Latest links for a dated list.
Good to know
- Important pages with few internal links are an easy fix: link to them from related content.
- The report is a sample, not every link that exists.
- You don't need to disavow random spammy links; Google ignores most of them.
