How to add a user to Google Search Console
You can give a colleague, client or agency access to a property without sharing your Google password. Only owners can add users.
Step by step
- 1Open the property and go to Settings → Users and permissions.
- 2Click Add user and enter the person's Google account email.
- 3Choose a permission: Full (sees all data and can take most actions) or Restricted (sees most data, can't change settings).
- 4Click Add. They will see the property next time they open Search Console.
Good to know
- To make someone an owner, they need to verify the property themselves, or a verified owner can add them as a delegated owner.
- Remove access from the same screen with the ⋮ menu next to the user.
- Restricted access is enough for reporting and most SEO tools.
