SERP snippet preview

See your title and meta description the way Google shows them, measured in pixels (that's what Google truncates on, not characters).

Desktop

Mobile

How long can a title and meta description be?

Google cuts titles at about 580–600 pixels on desktop and meta descriptions at roughly 920 pixels (about two lines; around 680 on mobile). Character counts are only an approximation: "WWW" is far wider than "iii", so a 55-character title can still be cut. This preview measures real pixel width with the same font Google uses.

Why a better snippet is the cheapest SEO win

If a page already ranks on page one but few people click, the snippet is the problem, not the ranking. Rewriting the title around the exact words people search, with a concrete promise, often doubles the click-through rate without moving a single position. Google may rewrite your title anyway, but it keeps well-matched titles far more often.

Which pages need it?

The pages with high impressions, a good position and a low CTR. The expected CTR calculator tells you what a position should earn, and the Search Console action list finds those pages in your own export.
