How to export data from Google Search Console (and get past 1,000 rows)
The Export button gives you the report you are looking at in Google Sheets, Excel or CSV — but each table is capped at 1,000 rows.
Step by step
- 1Set up the report you want in Performance: dates, filters, comparison.
- 2Click Export at the top right.
- 3Choose Google Sheets, Download Excel or Download CSV. The CSV is a ZIP with one file per tab (Queries, Pages, Countries, Devices, Dates…).
- 4For more than 1,000 rows, use the Search Console API, a Looker Studio connector, or Settings → Bulk data export to BigQuery.
Good to know
- Filtering first (for example one folder at a time) is a quick way to get more rows out of the UI.
- The query and page tables are exported separately, so the CSV doesn't tell you which query belongs to which page.
- Upload the ZIP as-is to our free action list for a prioritised to-do list.
