How to connect Google Search Console to GA4
Linking Search Console to Google Analytics 4 brings queries and landing-page search data into GA4 next to engagement and conversions.
Step by step
- 1In GA4, go to Admin → Product links → Search Console links.
- 2Click Link, choose the Search Console property and the GA4 web data stream, then Submit.
- 3In GA4 Reports → Library, publish the "Search Console" collection so the reports appear in the left menu.
- 4Wait up to 48 hours for data to show in the Queries and Google organic search traffic reports.
Good to know
- You need to be a verified owner in Search Console and an Editor in GA4.
- Search Console data in GA4 doesn't match GA4 sessions exactly: they measure different moments (a click vs a visit).
- One GA4 web stream can be linked to one Search Console property.
