How to check which pages are indexed in Google Search Console
The Pages report is the reliable way to know how many of your URLs Google has indexed — far more accurate than a site: search.
Step by step
- 1Go to Indexing → Pages.
- 2The chart shows Indexed and Not indexed counts over time.
- 3Click "View data about indexed pages" to see a sample of indexed URLs.
- 4Below the chart, "Why pages aren't indexed" lists each reason; click one to see the affected URLs and fix them.
- 5For a single URL, paste it in the URL Inspection bar.
Good to know
- Filter the report by sitemap to compare "what I submitted" with "what Google indexed".
- Not every "not indexed" URL is a problem: redirects and canonicalised variants are expected.
- site:example.com counts are rough estimates; don't rely on them.
